With the highly anticipated Kraven the Hunter, which has seen multiple release dates pushed back, Sony makes a triumphant comeback to their own Marvel universe. It has been pushed back again this week.

Kraven was originally scheduled to debut in theaters on October 20, 2023, by Sony, however, it was then rescheduled for August 2024. Now, on December 13, 2024, it will be released.

With an "R" rating and plenty of graphic violence promised, Kraven the Hunter will be the first Marvel film from Sony to be released in theaters.

Marvel's ultimate predator, the title character, is portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
"Kraven the Hunter tells the dramatic tale of the creation of one of Marvel's most recognizable villains. In the R-rated movie, Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays the title character, setting the scene before his infamous feud with Spider-Man."

The role of Calypso in the next Kraven the Hunter film will be played by Ariana DeBose.

The Foreigner, played by Christopher Abbott (Possessor), and stars Levi Miller (Better Watch Out). Character specifics are unknown, however, Alessandro Nivola (The Many Saints of Newark) will portray another antagonist. Fred Hechinger and Russell Crowe also feature.

Kraven the Hunter is being directed by A Most Violent Year's J.C. Chandor.

Richard Wenk, Matt Holloway, and Art Marcum wrote the script.
